Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of ports, terminals, and marine infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership in marine structural and geotechnical engineering, including container terminals, LNG and oil terminals, offshore wind facilities, and bulk material handling.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to manage project execution.
  • Develop and implement innovative engineering and design solutions to address technical and operational challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation including designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting knowledge-sharing and technical excellence.
  • Support business development through technical input on proposals, participation in industry forums, and engagement with professional associations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Marine, or Coastal Engineering (or related discipline).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in ports and marine infrastructure, including design and project management.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or eligible within 12 months or PMP or MBA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Geotechnical, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex marine infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in marine structural design, geotechnical engineering, seismic analysis, and soil-structure interaction.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget control, scheduling, risk management, and client interface.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to liaise effectively across disciplines and with external stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising engineering teams.
  • Board-Certified Port Engineer (BCPE) designation.
  • Experience with LNG facilities, offshore wind foundations, and seismic design of marine terminals.
  • Active participation in technical committees (e.g., ASCE / COPRI, PIANC, CSA).
  • Published technical papers or contributions to industry standards.
  • Business development experience, including proposal writing and client presentations.
  • International project experience across diverse geographies.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $195,000.00.
