Job summary

CompuCom is seeking a qualified Project Manager to join the team onsite in Ottawa, ON. The role focuses on establishing and running a PMO, defining project artefacts, governance structures, and reporting against milestones, KPIs, and strategic objectives.

Requirements include a university degree or diploma, a PMP certification, and at least ten years in senior PM roles, with experience building charters, dashboards, risk plans, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Project Management, Commerce, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Information Management, Information Technology, or MBA (10+ years IT experience)
• Must hold a valid PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
• At least 10 years as a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive
• Experience developing artefacts: charters, management plans, schedules, dashboards
• Experience building project governance, risk/issue management, and stakeholder communication plans

Responsibilities

• Develop a PMO charter, PMO support structures and implementation plan
• Define and document project management artefacts such as charters, management plans, stakeholder engagement plans
• Design, implement and monitor PMO operations against goals, objectives and milestones
• Coach and direct PMO staff in PMI-based processes, best practices, methodologies, tools and IMP requirements
• Develop a results-based management framework with KPIs to measure PMO and project effectiveness
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning, including the directorate’s operational plan
• Develop and document control/reporting procedures and change control for all projects
• Develop and document risk and issue management processes to be used by the project
• Identify, treat and manage risks and issues
• Establish quality control processes and monitor all project aspects
• Transfer knowledge to departmental project teams through training, demonstrations, and documentation
• Maintain all project artifacts per document management requirements
