Job summary

Shakepay is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of platform engineers focused on Infrastructure, SRE and DevOps. You’ll balance delivery with reliability and set direction across platform initiatives that impact all engineering teams.

You’ll partner with engineers, security, and compliance, drive tooling and agentic workflows, and advocate for platform work by tying technical work to business impact, while staying hands-on where it matters.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles.
• 3+ years managing and growing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps and Developer Experience.
• Set technical direction for platform architecture and ensure roadmap execution.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in tooling, infrastructure, and reliability.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling in a regulated environment.
• Design and build AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows that automate tasks and augment engineering productivity.
• Improve developer productivity by reducing friction in onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-prod workflows.
• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient as Shakepay grows.
• Own incident management practices, postmortems, and sustainability of the on-call rotation.
• Collaborate closely with product engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders.
• Advocate for platform work by tying technical initiatives to business and customer impact.
