Job summary

Appnovation is seeking a Principal Technical Architect to lead the platform's technical strategy and architecture, ensuring it is modern, secure, scalable, and reusable. You will translate business needs into target architecture and guide engineering teams that build and operate the platform globally.

You will partner with senior leaders to shape technical direction, drive AI-enabled delivery and governance, and cultivate a high-performing engineering culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field with substantial senior engineering and leadership experience.
• Proven track record owning the technical strategy and architecture of a significant platform, product, or domain.
• Experience leading engineering teams including engineers, architects, and technical leads.
• Deep hands-on expertise in modern engineering practices, cloud platforms, data/integration patterns, APIs, security, and reliability.
• Experience partnering with senior business and digital stakeholders to shape technical direction and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform's technological strategy and align with business priorities and enterprise standards.
• Serve as design authority for the platform, defining target architecture and key technical standards.
• Lead and advance the platform engineering teams to ensure investments are modern, secure, scalable, and reusable.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to translate ambiguous needs into concrete technical choices and delivery models.
• Define responsible AI, automation and modern engineering practices to improve speed, quality and governance.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads with a culture of excellence.
• Establish reliability, security, and governance practices across the platform for global resilience.
