Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. in Brampton is seeking a Director, Operations to serve as the senior site leader with end-to-end accountability for plant performance.

Reporting to the VP, Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing, quality and food safety, maintenance and engineering, utilities, logistics, human resources, and customer service, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Post Secondary Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years Plant or Technical Management experience; Food Processing industry preferred.
• Senior leadership experience in a large, complex, unionized manufacturing operation.
• Demonstrated people management and development capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, values-based leadership across all shifts; build a respectful, safe, accountable and inclusive workplace.
• Foster safe working environment with strategies for accident reduction and energy/waste minimization.
• Oversee QA programs to ensure food safety and product quality standards.
• Strategically manage capacity to meet Sofina operations goals and containment of yields, labour efficiency and overheads.
• Promote best-in-class preventive maintenance programs and capital reinvestment.
• Coach the Operational Team and develop direct reports; manage performance.
• Foster environment that supports company values and guiding principles.
• Promote collaborative employee and labour relations with Union representatives.
