Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager to lead a team of schedulers on major projects including high-rise, hospitals and transit. You will drive the planning process, respond to RFPs, and ensure realistic, competitive schedules.

The role requires 10+ years in construction planning and scheduling, deep knowledge of delivery methods (P3, CCDC, Design Build, GMP), and ability to present plans to executives and clients. An asset is CISD clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction planning and scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Knowledge/experience of different project delivery methods (P3, CCDC contracts, Lump Sum, Design Build, GMP) and project management.
• Knowledge of construction contract definitions (no damage for delay, liquidated damages, delays) and how the language applies to contracts.
• Ability to plan installation of major construction elements (building structure, enclosure, fit-out, commissioning) and project close-out.
• Ability to present the plan to management, subtrades, consultants, clients and refine the plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and oversee the work of other Schedulers on typical projects (Highrise, Hospital, Public Transit).
• Lead planning and schedule prep during pursuits and respond to RFPs for complex projects.
• Create and revise preliminary master schedules; ensure schedule realism and competitiveness.
• Evaluate progress and prepare reports on schedule health and updates.
• Maintain master schedule integrity and log project schedule changes.
• Project total job costs by comparing baseline vs actual costs after updates.
