Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to lead baseline and updated schedules for large projects. The role requires coordinating with project teams, clients and trades to ensure schedules reflect current execution plans and risks.

Qualifications

  • Eight plus years of construction scheduling experience or equivalent training and work history.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Baseline Schedule for projects meeting EllisDon’s Best Practices.
  • Update project schedule every two weeks with input from the project team.
  • Report on accuracy and reliability of information; site visits may be required.
  • Lead weekly/monthly schedule progress meetings with Clients and Trade Partners.
  • Maintain a database of productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and risks.
  • Identify unplanned events and incorporate impacts into the schedule.
  • Create as-built vs as-planned schedules for snapshots and tracking.
  • Prepare reports on status of active projects and ad-hoc project team reports.
  • Attend internal project review meetings and support with micro schedules and TIAs.
  • Participate in Pursuit planning and read RFP schedule requirements.
  • Create Pursuit schedules in Primavera P6 after vetting durations and relationships.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for working with the project team and leading the development of the Baseline Schedule, ensuring that it meets or exceeds EllisDon’s Best Practices in terms of format, layout, content, and quality.
  • You will be responsible for updating the project schedule every other week for each project assigned to you, using information provided by the project team.
  • You will be responsible for reporting on the accuracy and reliability of the information provided, so occasional site visits will be required.
  • Update information will include as-built dates, short-term forecasting, changes/delays information incorporating schedule impact, and potentially some resequencing of work to match the current execution plan.
  • Lead weekly/monthly schedule progress meetings, touchpoints, and workshops with Clients and Trade Partners.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times, and project risk items.
  • Identify unplanned events (new changes/unforeseen conditions) and incorporate their impacts into the schedule.
  • Develop as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a manageable “snapshot” comparison of the project schedule.
  • You will be responsible for reporting on the status of all active projects assigned to you, and occasionally for generating specific reports for project teams.
  • You will be responsible for attending and participating in internal project review meetings.
  • You will provide support to project teams by developing micro work schedules, what-if scenarios, and Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) schedules as required.
  • You will be involved in the planning of projects as a member of the Pursuit team.
  • You will be responsible for reading and understanding the RFP bid documents (schedule-related contractual requirements, drawings, and specifications).
  • You will be responsible for creating the Schedule for the Pursuit in Primavera P6, ensuring that the durations and relationships have been vetted by Superintendents, subtrades, and/or our internal Production Rates database (as required) and ensuring that the format, quality, and content of the schedule meet or exceed EllisDon’s Best Practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  • You have eight plus years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience; building experience required.
  • You have experience working on battery plants, data centers, and pharmaceutical projects.
  • You have experience developing schedules with complex MEP system installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • You have a working knowledge of computer scheduling programs including P6 and MS Projects.
  • You have the ability to manage the schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have experience working as part of a construction project control team and have been exposed to on-site construction.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with hands‑on experience from project control, site superintendent, project manager, project coordinator, and field engineer.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, in alignment with EllisDon's Values, and promote collaborative problem-solving.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 annually.
