Job summary

EllisDon Corporation seeks a Construction Scheduler to join the Pursuit team, reading RFPs, creating schedules in Primavera P6, and maintaining productivity databases. You will manage multiple projects, update baselines, and support with time-impact analyses, with site visits as needed.

Eight+ years in scheduling on data centre or pharmaceutical projects is preferred; strong communication and collaboration are essential to uphold EllisDon's values and best practices.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of construction scheduling experience or equivalent.
• Experience on data centre and pharmaceutical projects.
• Working knowledge of P6 and MS Projects.
• Ability to manage schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience as part of a construction project team (Coordinator, QA/QC, Safety, Field Engineer).
• Hands-on experience from carpentry, site superintendent, project manager, project coordinator, or field engineer preferred.
• Clear communication aligned with EllisDon's Values and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand RFP bid documents and schedule-related requirements.
• Create the Schedule for Pursuit in Primavera P6 with vetted durations and relationships.
• Develop and maintain a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and risk items.
• Identify unplanned events and incorporate impacts into the schedule.
• Develop as-built vs. as-planned schedules for snapshot comparisons.
• Update Baseline Schedule to meet EllisDon's Best Practices.
• Update project schedules biweekly and generate project reports.
• Attend internal project review meetings and support with Time-Impact-Analysis schedules.

Responsibilities

• You will be involved in the Planning of projects as a member of the Pursuit team, you will be responsible for reading and understanding the RFP bid documents (schedule-related contractual requirements, drawings and specifications).
• You will be responsible for creating the Schedule for the Pursuit in Primavera P6, ensuring that the durations and relationships have been vetted by Superintendents, subtrades, and/or our internal Production Rates database (as required) and ensuring that the format, quality and content of the schedule meets or exceeds EllisDon's Best Practices.
• Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and project risk items.
• Identify unplanned events (new changes/ unforeseen conditions) and incorporate their impacts into the schedule
• Develop as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a manageable "snapshot" comparison of the project schedule
• You will be responsible for working with the project team to create the Baseline Schedule, ensuring that it meets or exceeds EllisDon's Best Practices in terms of format, layout, content and quality.
• You will be responsible for updating the project schedule every other week for each project assigned to you, using information provided by the project team.
• You will be responsible for reporting on the accuracy and reliability of the information provided, so occasional site visits will be required.
• Update information will include as-built dates, short-term forecasting, changes/delays information incorporating schedule impact, and potentially some resequencing of work to match the current execution plan.
• You will be responsible for reporting on the status of all active projects assigned to you, and occasionally for generating specific reports for project teams.
• You will be responsible for attending and participating in internal project review meetings.
• You will provide support to project teams by developing micro work schedules, what-if scenarios, Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) schedules as required.

Qualifications

• Is this the right role for you? You have eight plus years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience; building experience required.
• You have experience working on data centre, and pharmaceutical projects.
• You have a working knowledge of computer scheduling programs including P6, MS Projects.
• You have the ability to manage the schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
• You have experience working as part of a construction project team i.e. Coordinator, QA/QC, Safety, Field Engineer, etc. and have been exposed to on-site construction.
• Preference will be given to candidates with hands‑on experience from carpentry, site superintendent, project manager, project coordinator, field engineer.
• You communicate clearly and effectively, in alignment with EllisDon's Values, and promote collaborative problem-solving.
