Job Description

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the management, processing and accuracy of their assigned payroll process.

What you’re responsible for:

1. Overseeing and participating in the payroll processing process to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax and labour laws for over 3,000 employees.
2. Coordinating all operational payroll activities.
3. Proposing and implementing improvements to optimize payroll process.
4. Ensuring payment deadlines are respected.
5. Mentoring other members of the payroll team to improve efficiencies and knowledge of the process.
6. Serving as a point of contact with tax authorities and government agencies.
7. Working closely with finance and human resource departments to ensure close communication.

Qualifications

To join our team:

1. You have 10 years of payroll experience.
2. You have full cycle payroll experience.
3. You have knowledge in Payroll platforms. Dayforce would be considered an asset.
4. You are bilingual in French and English.
5. You have strong knowledge in MS Excel.
