Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to lead the architecture, design, and governance of enterprise payment, gateway, and digital transaction platforms. You will shape scalable architectures for cloud modernization, API-first strategies, and distributed systems.

You will mentor engineers, partner with security and product teams, and drive initiatives across multiple portfolios to improve scalability, security and customer experience while ensuring high availability and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years in design of applications and underlying information technologies.
• 10+ years in developing and implementing applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and governance of enterprise payment, gateway, and digital transaction platforms.
• Develop scalable architectures for cloud modernization, API-first strategies, and distributed systems.
• Define architecture standards, roadmaps, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
• Partner with business, product, security, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for complex integrations with internal platforms, vendors, fintech partners, and payment networks.
• Drive resiliency, high availability, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative, scalable, secure solutions.
• Mentor engineers and architects and influence strategic technology decisions.
