Job summary

Citi is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the full lifecycle of mission-critical payment applications. You will design and build high-throughput microservices using Java 8+ and Spring Boot, embracing cloud-native principles to support global payments at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities include resilient, zero-downtime deployments, domain-driven design, and modern DevOps practices with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, plus AI-enabled tooling for faster delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale applications, with leadership in a technical direction.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot for production microservices; strong front-end in Angular/HTML/CSS.
• Experience with resilience patterns (Circuit Breakers, Saga) and idempotent API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead full software development lifecycle for mission-critical payment applications from architecture to deployment and production ownership.
• Design high-throughput, low-latency microservices using Java 8+ and Spring Boot with cloud-native principles.
