Job summary

Lightspeed is seeking an Account Executive, Payments to join our NOAM team in Canada. You will drive adoption of Lightspeed Payments within Lightspeed's merchant base in North America, focusing on cross-sell/upsell from existing POS customers.

You will manage the full sales cycle, collaborate with Onboarding for merchant launches, and act as the internal SME on payment processing. English proficiency is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Direct experience (3+ years) in the payments industry.
• 3+ years in a closing role focused on technology or solution sales.
• Proven ability to proactively generate and qualify new opportunities.
• Documented history of revenue target attainment or quota met.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage sales opportunities using leads from Account Managers, direct outreach, and marketing campaigns.
• Lead the full sales cycle from qualification to contract closure.
• Partner with Onboarding to ensure smooth merchant launches on Lightspeed Payments.
• Serve as SME on payment processing for other units and provide training as needed.
• Collect and relay merchant feedback to Product Management.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and opportunity notes in Salesforce.
