Job summary

Qualifications

• CCCPA certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Pathologists' Assistant.
• Experience in leadership, time management, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, professionalism, facilitation and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of health care regulations and medical laboratory theory.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Applicants without CCCPA but eligible for certification may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and support of daily pathology laboratory operations.
• Guide and act as a resource to staff; promote a cooperative atmosphere.
• Ensure respectful communications and respond to challenges and obstacles.
• Make decisions, take action and provide solutions; assist with corrective actions.
• May perform core duties of Pathologists' Assistant when required.
