Qualifications

• College Degree/Certificate in Paralegal studies or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate law.
• NUANS Completion Certificate, as required.
• Bilingualism (French and English).

Responsibilities

• Providing independent professional support services, including assistance with complex transactions.
• Preparing and drafting documents related to corporate reorganizations, tax reorganizations, asset/share purchase and sale transactions, and due diligence review reports.
• Attend organizational meetings with clients/lawyers and recommend a course of action.
• Assisting in drafting various agreements.
• Coordinating closing documents, searches, and reporting on other matters for the transaction.
• Mentoring junior and intermediate paralegal/law clerks.
• Maintaining integrity of corporate database and all record keeping systems.
• Recording time entries in accordance with firm requirements; tracking billable and non-billable hours.
