Personnel Alter Ego is seeking a paralegal to join its corporate services team. The incumbent will support lawyers, handle minute books, filings, and corporate maintenance tasks with independence and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has 7 years of experience, a DEC in paralegal technology, and bilingual French/English proficiency. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 7 years in a similar position.
• DEC in paralegal technology.
• Bilingual French/English required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other members and clients.
• Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
• Ability to conduct legal research.
• Knowledge of current government laws and regulations.
• Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and reprioritize as needed.
• Ability to manage stress professionally.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Athennian software knowledge is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Update physical and virtual minute books.
• Conduct due diligence on minute books and write corrective reports and resolutions.
• Ensure the filing of documents with regulatory authorities.
• Perform annual updates of resolutions, reports and declarations and other continuous disclosure documents.
• Act as a client liaison to obtain information, ensure clients are aware of the status of their file, and respond to any questions or concerns the client has within delegated authority.
• Communicate directly with service providers and court officials regarding the client's file.
• Conduct various corporate research and prepare forms required for extra-provincial registrations.
• Prepare documents for operations and reorganizations.
• Assist in the preparation of documents related to the incorporation, amendment of the articles of association, amalgamation, continuance and dissolution of the companies.
• Draft various resolutions as required.
• Draft various reports as required.
• Any other duties as required.
