Job summary

OneSky Community Resources in Penticton is seeking a Senior Services Coordinator for the Out & About Program. This role plans and delivers social outings for older adults, promoting healthy aging and social engagement.

You will collaborate with participants, volunteers, and community partners, coordinate transportation, and maintain registrations and records while ensuring safety and accessibility. 30 hours/week, closing date Oct 16, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Experience with older adults and diverse populations.
  • Experience coordinating community-based programs.
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license or ability to obtain within one month.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Minimum two years of related experience in recreation programming or community services.
  • Knowledge of community resources to support healthy aging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver outings for older adults.
  • Coordinate transportation and routes with safety considerations.
  • Recruit, orient, train, and support volunteers.
  • Maintain participant registration and current emergency contacts.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and service providers.
  • Ensure participant safety and emergency readiness during activities.
  • Assist with budgeting, grants, and program evaluation.
  • Represent OneSky at community meetings and partnerships.
