Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Science/Engineering or Physics from a Canadian or recognized equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in optical design and testing.
• Experience with COS/CCD image sensors is highly preferred.
• Fluency in French preferred.
• Strong programming in C, Python; MATLAB; Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of product development from concept generation to implementation.
• Develop advanced models on key optical technologies.
• Provide multidisciplinary production support by resolving technical issues.
• Perform system analysis and analytical modeling on designs and prototypes.
• Create engineering documentation for optical instrument design.
• Innovate on optical technologies and lead planning for technical programs.
• Support manufacturing of optical instruments and products.
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions.
