Job description

SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Senior Operational Analyst supports the enhancement of metrics and processes within the division. This includes gathering data, creating and maintaining reports, supporting the utilization of continuous improvement programming and reports and metrics, supporting prioritizing and actioning continuous improvement opportunities to enhance employee, customer and business outcomes.

Work Week: 35

Position Details

  • Union - This position is permanent full time.

Core Responsibilities

Analysis and Reporting

  • Work collaboratively with senior management to maintain alignment of organizational strategic targets within operational reporting.
  • Develop, operate and monitor business performance metrics to ensure data and reporting needs of the division are being met.
  • Foster the advancement of data reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes throughout the division.
  • Contribute to the utilization, development and advancement of data reporting and dashboards.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain division Key Performance Indicator (KPI) systems, targets, and measures.
  • Provide reports to assist in analysis as requested by business areas.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to reports, reporting access, applications, process and procedure manuals and financial references.
  • Assist in the development of recommendations for updates to standards and processes related to systems and data.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in meetings with business representatives to determine and define requirements for continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external vendors on new initiatives, training, change management, tools, and projects.
  • Support the development of process improvements through automation and optimization in both office and field processes.
  • Conduct analysis on business challenges to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to business processes and supporting technologies.
  • Support internal processes to identify, prioritize, analyze, execute, and measure on continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for departmental and divisional processes.

Divisional Strategies

  • Support divisional change management, communication and training strategies relating to continuous improvement.
  • Support the functions of the Management Operating System (MOS) across Customer Service Operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Science, or Computer Science.
  • Five (5) years’ relevant experience working in a business environment, with a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in analysis and reporting.
  • Pre-Qualifying Assessment.

Additional Information

  • Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
