Job summary
Diversified, a global leader in audio visual and media innovation, is seeking a Senior AV Live Events Technician to lead technical direction for large-scale events in downtown Toronto. The role is 100% onsite at a client facility, requiring hands-on setup, testing, and coordination with vendors.
You will drive broadcast and studio production engineering, advise on solutions, and ensure equipment works across networks as technology evolves.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4–5 years relevant Live Event, Production, Broadcasting experience.
- Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies, Digital Signage, Video and Studio Productions.
- Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to build quality customer/vendor relationships.
- Ability to understand future industry trends and apply to workflows.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Technical Director/Chief Engineer for high-profile live events; manage setup, audit, and pack down.
- Advise on delivering technical solutions for internal teams and external audiences.
- Coordinate with external vendors and third-party teams; assist with resource cost estimates and proposals.
- Advise on trends in presentation, broadcasting, webcasting, videoconferencing, and PTP.
- Provide daily technical direction to ensure event production success.
