Job summary

Eclipse Automation, located in Cambridge, ON, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our sales team. You will develop proposals, support Account Managers, and service customer accounts, delivering Eclipse’s vision and culture.

Required 5+ years in automation and applications engineering, with strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks). The role involves travel up to 30% and collaboration across engineering and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation experience (OEM).
• 5+ years in an applications engineering capacity.
• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics engineering or related field.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks; familiar with MS Office.
• Knowledge of CSA, ANSI and CE standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in RFQ review meetings, on-site or in-house.
• Prepare cell layout drawings for RFQs.
• Coordinate between mechanical, electrical and assembly teams for technical concepts.
• Estimate labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.
• Prepare equipment layouts and deliverables list with budgets.
