Job summary
Eclipse Automation in Cambridge, ON is seeking a Quality Process Engineering Automation Systems professional to validate automation solutions and ensure customer requirements are met. This full-time on-site role collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive high-quality manufacturing solutions.
You will develop quality plans, perform testing, and support supplier quality while driving continuous improvement in processes and metrology.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a University Degree or College Diploma in QA/QC or related discipline, design or engineering field or related experience
- Prior experience with engineering research and development or testing, automated systems or machine tools, simulations and modeling, structured problem solving, and statistical analysis is an asset.
- Possess a mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of automation concepts with specific hands-on experience in machine design, automation, motion controls, robotics or vision systems
Responsibilities
- Assist in proposal preparation activities, including responding to customer specification documents and buyoff criteria
- Create models or conduct experiments to validate design outputs and assumptions
- Support development of automation concepts to meet functional and critical requirements
- Identify high-risk elements and develop mitigation strategies
- Define quality requirements and equipment specifications including FMEA and buyoff criteria
- Develop design verification criteria to verify customer requirements
- Engage in systems engineering tasks covering machine analysis, reliability, testing and data analysis
- Participate in supplier qualification and audits for third-party equipment
