S.I. Systems Ltd. seeks a Project Controls Planner / Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated project schedules for capital energy projects in the oil and gas sector. This contract role requires the consultant to be in the office five days per week in downtown Calgary.

You will work with engineering, construction, contractors and project controls teams to sustain schedule integrity, identify delays and provide leadership with accurate progress reports and forecasts.

Qualificações

• 8+ years direct experience as a project controls planner/scheduler in oil and gas major projects.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (v7 or v8) or equivalent.
• Exposure to SAP.
• Experience managing integrated project schedules: baseline, updates, critical path, variance, and forecasts.
• Experience with construction progress measurement and contractor schedule coordination on major projects.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage integrated project schedules across lifecycle, including WBS, work packages, calendars, and baselines.
• Coordinate schedule development and updates with engineering, construction, contractors and project teams.
• Analyze the critical path, variances, forecast completion dates and potential delays, recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor and validate field progress, installed quantities and contractor performance against planned schedules.
• Lead schedule reviews and progress meetings, ensuring contractors follow planning, scheduling and reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly schedule performance reports, variance analysis, progress metrics and forecasts for project leadership.
• Support schedule risk analysis, project change management and cost forecasting with project controls and other teams.
• Maintain accurate schedule data and reporting to support project decisions.
