Job summary

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting an Offshore HSE Advisor for the Hercules MODU offshore site in St. John’s, Newfoundland. This 12‑month contract role requires extensive oil & gas HSE expertise and regulatory awareness to support offshore operations.

The successful candidate will implement safety management systems, monitor compliance, lead investigations, and coordinate with management, contractors, and workforce to maintain a strong safety culture and timely reporting of HSE performance.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in oil & gas.
• Must have CAPP training, Basic Survival Training, H2S Alive, and Regulatory Awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation of Company Operational Excellence Management Systems onboard the Hercules MODU.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory, company, and project HSE requirements.
• Provide expert HSE advice, coaching, and support to offshore management, supervisors, contractors, and workforce personnel.
• Promote a positive safety culture through leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead or participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, hazards, and near-misses including corrective actions.
• Administer offshore event reporting processes, data analysis, KPI development and reporting.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and assurance activities to verify corrective actions.
