Job summary

Astra North Infoteck seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to design and optimize automated conveyor systems for industrial projects. You will produce 2D/3D drawings, select components, and support commissioning and after-sales service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Member of the OIQ or in the process of becoming one.

Job description

• Select mechanical components and ensure equipment compliance.
• Collaborate with automation, manufacturing, and installation teams.
• Support commissioning and after-sales service.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Member of the OIQ or in the process of becoming one.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial equipment design.
• Experience in conveyors, automation, or material handling is a significant asset.
• Proficiency in 3D design software (Inventor or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
