Job summary

Aecon Concessions from Cambridge, ON, is seeking a Sr. Welding Applications Specialist to support the Nuclear portfolio from Aecon’s Cambridge center.

You will lead welding applications, codes compliance, and technical execution across major projects, coordinating with construction teams and Aecon’s Welding Center of Excellence. The role requires deep nuclear welding experience, strong leadership, and capacity to travel internationally to support domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in welding within nuclear construction
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, CWB and AWS welding codes
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and teams

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop Aecon’s technical welding services team to support domestic and international projects
  • Maintain relationships with Nuclear Construction leadership and site welding teams with regular site visits
  • Domestic and international travel is required on an as-needed basis
  • Track welding performance metrics on all project sites
  • Lead troubleshooting for weld defects and process qualification
  • Prepare presentations to leadership and customers on welding topics
