Placements24 invites applications from a Senior Research Scientist in Neuroscience for our fully remote research division. You will design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies, analyze data, and contribute to the neuroscience pipeline.

Collaborate with computational biologists, pharmacologists, and medicinal chemists in a virtual environment, and mentor junior staff while helping to prepare manuscripts and patents.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience or related field.
• 6+ years post-PhD research experience in neuroscience.
• Hands-on experience with neurotech methods.
• Strong statistical analysis of biological data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies on neurodegenerative diseases, neuroinflammation, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Utilize electrophysiology, calcium imaging, molecular biology, and behavioral assays.
• Analyze complex neuroscience data and formulate hypotheses for further investigation.
• Collaborate with computational biologists, medicinal chemists, and pharmacologists in a virtual environment.
• Prepare detailed scientific reports, contribute to manuscript preparation, and support patent applications.
• Provide scientific mentorship and guidance to junior team members in a remote setting.
