Job summary

Symbiotic Digital seeks a Technology Architect to lead enterprise LAN/WAN design and deployment across distributed locations in Canada. The role covers architecture, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, security policy development, and operational support in a large-scale environment.

You will configure SD-WAN, routing, firewalls, and traffic policies, while collaborating with design teams and infrastructure colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN environments including design and troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
• Strong VMware networking knowledge and data center familiarity.
• Expert IP routing and Layer 2 networking with Cisco switches.
• VoIP and QoS design and implementation experience.
• Administration experience across Windows and Unix systems.
• IPv6 networking experience and modern routing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise LAN/WAN design, implementation, and optimization across locations.
• Produce SD-WAN configurations, policies, and templates per design.
• Create high-/low-level network design docs and workbooks.
• Configure switches, routers, and firewalls per approved architectures.
• Manage dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Install SD-WAN routers, LAN switches, and high-availability firewalls.
• Develop and enforce firewall policies and centralized/local traffic rules.
• Troubleshoot network issues and test configurations.
• Apply QoS across enterprise networks and automate configurations.
• Maintain network configs in CM repositories; collaborate with infra teams.
• Support cloud-based firewall logging and pilot/implementation phases.
• Assist with network automation using Ansible and related tools.
• Configure Aruba ClearPass and out-of-band management firewalls.

We are seeking a Technology Architect with strong enterprisenetworking expertise to support next generation LAN and WAN deployments in alarge-scale, mission-critical environment. The successful candidate will beresponsible for network architecture, implementation, configuration,troubleshooting, security policy development, and operational support acrossdistributed locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboratewith network design teams to deploy next generation LAN and WANinfrastructure.
• ProduceSD-WAN configurations including policies and templates aligned withapproved network designs.
• Develophigh-level and low-level network design documentation and workbooks.
• Configureswitches, routers, and firewalls based on approved network architectures.
• Configureand maintain dynamic routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
• Performphysical installation of SD-WAN routers, LAN switches, andhigh-availability firewalls.
• Develop,implement, and maintain firewall policies.
• Designand configure centralized and localized traffic policies includingapplication-aware routing.
• Testnetwork configurations and troubleshoot network issues.
• ImplementQuality of Service (QoS) policies across enterprise LAN and WANenvironments.
• Deployand maintain network configurations within inventory and configurationmanagement repositories.
• Collaboratewith infrastructure and facilities teams to support remediationactivities.
• Developand configure cloud-based firewall logging solutions.
• Supportand maintain network environments during pilot and implementation phases.
• Assistwith network automation and configuration management initiatives usingAnsible and related tools.
• ConfigureAruba ClearPass identity management solutions.
• Installand configure out-of-band management firewalls across multiple locations.
• Performadditional project-related duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Core Skills

• CiscoSD-WAN (Viptela) implementation, configuration, migration, andtroubleshooting experience.
• PaloAlto Firewalls and Panorama installation, configuration, and operationalsupport experience.
• StrongVMware networking knowledge.
• Expert-levelIP routing and Layer 2 networking using Cisco 9000-series switches.
• StrongVoIP and QoS implementation experience.
• Administrationexperience across Windows and Unix operating systems.
• IPv6networking experience.
