Job summary

Compugen Inc in Canada is seeking a Bilingual Intermediate Network Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across customer and internal environments. This role handles routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and connectivity services to ensure availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across multi-site environments.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN issues and support changes, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Configure and manage devices (Cisco/Meraki, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
  • Support network security operations, VPN connectivity, and access controls.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with Network, Security, and Service Delivery teams during incidents.

Position Overview: The Bilingual Intermediate Network Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure across customer and internal environments. This role provides operational and technical support for routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and connectivity services while ensuring network availability, performance, and security. Working within a managed services environment, the Network Administrator collaborates with senior engineers, security teams, and service delivery teams to troubleshoot incidents, implement changes, support projects, and maintain operational excellence across multi-site and multi-vendor platforms including Cisco, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet technologies.   • Please note: This role is Bilingual and requires Security Clearance: Reliability / Secret Key Responsibilities: Network Operations & Administration
  • Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and connectivity issues across customer environments
  • Configure and manage network devices including Cisco/Meraki, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Palo -Alto and other Network platforms.
  • Support network upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle management activities
  • Participate in change management activities, including implementation validation and rollback planning
  • Support network security operations by Implementing, enforcing and maintaining network security policies, VPN connectivity, and access controls
  • Monitor network and security alerts, investigate anomalies, and escalates incidents as required
  • Monitor network traffic and perform vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation efforts and implementation of security best practices
  • Ensure operational activities align with organizational security policies and compliance standards
  • Respond to and resolve Level 2/3 network incidents and service requests within defined SLAs
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) activities for recurring or major incidents
  • Collaborate with Network, Security, and Service Delivery teams during critical incidents and outages
  • Maintain accurate incident records, operational notes, and resolution documentation
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, operational procedures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support automation and process improvement initiatives within network operations
  • Contribute to operational reporting, service reviews, and continuous improvement activities
  • Assist with onboarding new customer environments and transitioning services into operations
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, and switching
  • Strong experience in cloud-related network technologies including SDWAN & SASE
  • Experience with Cisco/Meraki, HPE Aruba, and/or Fortinet technologies
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Working knowledge of firewall administration and wireless networking concepts
  • Exposure to ITIL-based operational processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
  • Experience with Azure Networking is an advantage
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in network administration, network operations, and managed services environment
  • Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies in multi-vendor and multi-customer environments
  • Cisco CCNA / CCNP
  • Fortinet NSE Certifications
  • Aruba Certifications
