Job summary

BMT is looking for a Senior Naval Architect - Team Lead based in Victoria, BC. The role involves leading the Naval Architecture team while managing work assignments, performance reviews, and supporting recruitment processes.

The successful candidate should have a degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, a minimum of 10 years of experience, and strong leadership skills to ensure effective team performance.

BMT offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 - $150,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Naval Architecture.
• Existing registration or ability to obtain registration with Professional Engineering governance body in Province of work.
• Eligible for a Canadian security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portion of the NA Team in Halifax/Ottawa/Victoria.
• Manage work assignments/allocations for direct reports.
• Conduct performance reviews and establish Personal Development Plans.

Skills

Team leadership experience

Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture degree

Minimum 10 years of experience in Naval Architecture

Strong verbal and written communication skills
