Job summary

Canada Life is seeking an Account Executive in National Accounts to drive business development, growth and client retention with consultant houses and large Group Retirement Services clients. You will leverage initiative, communication, and relationship-building skills to foster partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders, driving new consultant business and increased in-force contributions.

You will build strong relationships with national consultants and sponsors, lead the sales

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Group Retirement Savings in a business development or client relationship role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with negotiation and public speaking.
• Excellent presentation skills for discussing investment and retirement planning with consultants, pension committees and plan sponsors.
• Collaborator, negotiator and partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet client/consultant objectives.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and have a valid vehicle.
• Post-secondary education plus CEBS and RPA Primer designations.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with national consulting houses and plan sponsors.
• Develop and implement business plans to achieve annual sales targets through client and consultant relationships.
• Manage the sales process from RFP to finalist presentation.
• Lead consultants, plan sponsors, and staff through the new business implementation process.
• Partner with GRS management and other Account Executives to ensure Canada Life’s success.
• Promote additional products and services to enhance retention and plan member experience.
