Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer/Planner to join our TPTE Team in Markham or Toronto. You will lead and manage traffic and transportation planning projects for public and private clients across Ontario, reporting to the Department Manager.

You will guide multimodal analyses, safety studies, and master planning tasks using a wide software suite, while coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality study reports and client-ready

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant technical, project management, and business development experience.
Experience leading multimodal traffic and transportation planning projects for public/private clients in Ontario.
Ability to collaborate with clients and external stakeholders.
Working knowledge of Ontario transportation planning policies, standards, and specs.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to multimodal planning and transportation analyses using Complete Streets practices.
Conduct safety analyses including crash data compilation and cost-benefit assessments.
Operate industry software (Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, ARCADY, VISSIM, etc.) for analyses.
Prepare technical reports documenting study results and recommendations.
Provide technical guidance to transportation staff and manage project budgets and invoicing.
Develop proposals, budgets, schedules, and client liaison for ongoing business development.
Deliver progress reports, requirements documents, and presentations.
