Job summary

National Safety Services Inc. (NSS) is seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to build AI-powered safety applications from prototype to production, with remote work options.

You will design LLM-based solutions using Python, LangChain, REST APIs, and cloud platforms, and lead cross-functional technical projects while mentoring teammates.

This role requires 5+ years in ML/AI, strong communication to leadership, and eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ML/AI engineering or related field.
• Experience moving ML/AI solutions from prototype to production.
• Strong understanding of scalable infrastructure for ML apps (platforms, cloud, APIs, data pipelines).
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML solution delivery from prototype to production, ensuring integration with the platform.
• Design and deploy LLM-powered applications using Python, LangChain, and LLM APIs.
• Define technical architecture and stack to support scalable AI products.
• Build scalable infra using REST APIs, SQL/PostgreSQL, vector DBs, Docker, and cloud services.
• Implement MLOps/DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and testing.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate regulatory requirements into AI solutions for compliance assessments.
• Lead projects, evaluate new technologies, and set engineering standards and best practices.
