Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer in Canada to lead strategic Life-of-Mine planning and drive critical decisions for large-scale projects. You will develop high-impact mine plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to unlock value from mineral reserves.

The role requires 15+ years in mining, expertise in Deswik and Vulcan, and strong leadership to guide long-range schedules, financial modeling, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in mining with strong expertise in strategic planning and technical modeling.
• Proficiency in Deswik and Vulcan software; familiarity with NI 43-101 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Life-of-Mine plans integrating geological, operational, environmental and commercial factors.
• Create and update long-range schedules, cost scenarios and budgets aligned with forecasts.
• Conduct technical and financial evaluations of mine projects, including feasibility studies and expansions.
• Monitor and provide insights on joint ventures and align with organizational interests.
• Collaborate with finance teams to translate planning outputs into economic narratives.
• Mentor junior team members and students to promote operational excellence.
