Job summary

David Aplin Recruiting is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer focused on strategic mine planning and Life‑of‑Mine analysis to shape the future of large‑scale projects in Saskatchewan. You will drive long‑term planning, develop high‑impact mine plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to unlock value from mineral reserves.

You will lead development and optimization of Life‑of‑Mine plans, update schedules and budgets, and conduct technical and financial evaluations while mentoring junior

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of mining experience with emphasis on strategic planning and modeling.
  • Proficiency in Deswik and Vulcan; familiarity with NI 43-101 standards.
  • P.Eng certification in Saskatchewan preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and continuous optimization of comprehensive Life‑of‑Mine plans, integrating geological, operational, environmental, and commercial factors.
  • Create and update long‑range schedules, cost scenarios, and budgets aligned with organizational goals and production forecasts.

  • Collaborate with finance teams to translate mine planning outputs into clear economic and budget narratives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and continuous optimization of comprehensive Life‑of‑Mine plans, integrating geological, operational, environmental, and commercial factors.
  • Create and update long‑range schedules, cost scenarios, and budgets aligned with organizational goals and production forecasts.

  • Proficiency in Deswik and Vulcan software, with familiarity in NI 43-101 standards preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in financial modeling, budgeting, and long‑term scheduling.
  • P.Eng certification in Saskatchewan is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and influence cross‑disciplinary teams.
