Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Mechanical Specialist to provide expert leadership for natural gas compression assets. You will work closely with field operations and Technical Services to resolve complex issues, mentor technicians, and improve asset reliability in a hybrid work model based in Canada.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, and alignment with safety and operational excellence across facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have interprovincial certification or equivalent as Red Seal Journeyman Millwright (Industrial Mechanic).
• Engineering technology diploma or mechanical engineering degree with practical field experience.
• 10+ years of related mechanical experience in industrial environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and lead reliability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced mechanical support to field teams and management to ensure safe, reliable operation of compression assets.
• Lead technical guidance, mentoring, and hands-on troubleshooting for Operations Technicians.
• Serve as liaison between Operations and Technical Services during issue escalation and RCFA processes.
• Support incident investigations and equipment failures; contribute to root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and reliability studies to inform decisions.
