Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation is seeking a collaborative Supervisor, Mechanical Maintenance to lead field mechanical staff at the Burnaby Westridge Terminal. You will supervise maintenance activities, manage schedules and budgets, ensure safe, compliant operations, and coordinate with technicians to improve reliability.

The role requires a technical diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation, ten years of progressive experience, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Community college or technical diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Journeyman Trade Certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience.
• Leadership experience including conflict resolution, emergency response, budget planning, and performance management.
• Demonstrated fluency with administrative processes and technology tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, Asset Management, Excel, Payroll Tools, AI Co-Pilot).
• Track record of delivering high-quality work and managing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate facility systems and equipment to improve functionality and reliability; collaborate with MEI and Operations Technicians.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following company standards and regulations.
• Conduct follow-ups on mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify problems and perform maintenance.
• Prepare and review weekly maintenance schedules with technicians and allocate work.
• Contribute maintenance information to strategic plans and implement performance standards.
• Manage annual budgets and monitor expenditures; take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventories of tools, supplies, and parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance per safety program prerequisites.
