Job summary

The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with drafting staff, and coordination with external consultants. A P.Eng. in Canada and 5+ years of mechanical design experience are preferred, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science degree from a Canadian university or foreign equivalent.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Canada (P.Eng.).
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Solid Edge.
• Ability to work legally in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and review mechanical systems for OpenAire projects.
• Develop and implement new designs and process improvements.
• Perform analyses using applicable codes and standards (US, Canada, IBC).
• Prepare technical specifications and drawings; liaise with consultants.
• Ensure safety, quality and continuous improvement in the team.
