Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide expertise and leadership across a portfolio of Liquids Pipelines projects in Canada and the United States. You will guide project design, equipment selection, reliability improvements, and engineering solutions for safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

As a professional engineer in Canada, you will mentor engineers, review designs for compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada per applicable jurisdiction.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas pipeline and facility construction and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Mechanical Engineering contact for Projects, aligning with standards and reliability objectives.
• Review and audit project designs for compliance, providing constructive feedback to stakeholders.
• Lead or support in-house projects and produce design documentation, drawings and calculations.
• Apply mechanical engineering skills throughout the project lifecycle from concept to execution.
• Identify cost-effective design improvements with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to developing engineers and junior team members.
