Job summary

OSI Maritime Systems in Canada seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design of naval navigation and bridge systems, delivering performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness across programs.

You will mentor engineers, develop hardware requirements, oversee qualification testing, and ensure compliance with Lloyd's, DNV, ABS and other standards, while optimizing for manufacturability and lifecycle costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years in engineering design/analysis.
• Master's degree and PE/ Chartered Engineer designation desirable.
• Clear NATO clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for naval/navigation systems per standards and requirements.
• Mentor engineers and approve parts in the bill of materials.
• Oversee qualification testing and write test plans and reports.
• Ensure manufacturability, weight, and cost optimization.
