Job summary

Lockheed Martin Canada is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our naval development team, focusing on integrated communication and information systems across ship programs in Canada.

You will lead system integration, verify requirements, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to resolve complex interface challenges throughout the lifecycle of large-scale naval platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software, electrical, electronic, hardware, systems or mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years in communication and digital data information systems.
• Experience in software, systems, hardware, or maintenance lifecycle is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to solve complex problems in a team environment.
• High initiative and autonomy in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and platform integration for shipboard information and communication systems.
• Coordinate requirements verification and design reviews.
• Maintain technical specifications and statements of work.
• Collaborate with clients, ship design team, subcontractors on integration issues.
• Prepare design documentation and modification proposals.
• Coordinate technical change requests through Change Committee.
