WSP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Buildings Projects in Burlington/Hamilton, Ontario. You’ll lead design across commercial, residential, retail, and institutional projects from concept to construction, delivering cost‑effective, high‑quality engineering solutions.

You will mentor team members, grow client relationships, and ensure designs meet Canadian codes and standards while advancing sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• P.Eng. licensed in Ontario.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical consulting engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building design projects from concept through construction.
• Apply professional judgement to ensure technical excellence and cost effectiveness.
• Design and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and fuel systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards at all stages.
• Research and implement sustainable mechanical design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with clients and internal teams.
