WSP is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to lead building electrical design in Winnipeg, MB. You will shape electrical systems for healthcare, commercial, and public projects, guiding teams from concept to construction.

You’ll apply strong knowledge of Canadian codes, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with architects and owners to deliver sustainable, safe, and high‑performance buildings. This role offers growth within a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• P.Eng designation or eligibility for registration in Manitoba.
• Significant experience in electrical building systems design in consulting engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian electrical codes, standards, and building regulations.
• Experience designing power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with architects, owners, and contractors.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard engineering and design software.
• Strong communication, technical writing, and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and delivery of complex building projects from concept through construction.
• Develop innovative power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communication, security, and building systems solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable building designs.
• Guide clients through technical decisions by providing trusted engineering expertise.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, helping build technical excellence across the team.
• Drive project success through quality management, technical reviews, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Contribute to business growth by strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Influence the future of communities through design of healthcare, institutional, commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure projects.
