Job description

Our client is a consulting engineering firm specializing in seismic engineering and mechanical system design. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

• Analyze complex problems and design innovative solutions to solve them;
• Collaborate with other engineers and professionals within and outside the organisation;
• Deliver safe and efficient services on time and on budget;
• Allocate resources for project execution;
• Develop design prototypes, if necessary, for non-structural seismic projects;
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend meetings, provide information and analyze data to write reports.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering;
• 10 years of experience carrying out engineering projects;
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA OR Pro / Engineer to create 3D models;
• In-depth understanding of the principles of structural mechanics, including material strength, structural dynamics and stability;
• Able to calculate stresses, deformations, thermal expansion and resistance of materials;
• Familiar with properties of materials (metals, composites, polymers) and their application in the design of structures;
• Project management skills to plan, coordinate and execute projects;
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes and applicable industrial regulations;
• Experience in carrying out prototype testing and validation of designs;
• Available for frequent site travel across the province and country if necessary;
