Your Opportunity

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Stantec, based in Calgary, AB, you will work independently on complex projects across Western and Northern Canada, leading projects through all phases and developing a disciplined engineering team. You will utilize up-to-date tools and innovations, ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage diverse projects, ensuring delivery on budget and schedule with high standards of quality and innovation.
• Specify and engineer mechanical systems, act as a technical advisor, and develop design visuals.
• Utilize BIM for 3D modeling, prepare mechanical documentation, and lead project coordination and client meetings.
• Supervise staff, develop standards, and contribute to proposals and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes, standards, and sustainable practices, including LEED or Net Zero design experience.
• Strong understanding of building systems and project documentation phases.
• Leadership skills to guide teams through project lifecycle, with proficiency in MS Office, Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta with a minimum of 10 years’ experience preferred.
