Job summary

Stantec’s Energy and Resources team is hiring a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our growing team in Western Canada but open to all locations in Canada as well. You will develop mechanical models and documents for both large and small mining projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will work with 3D and 2D deliverables, convey requirements to designers, and lead model/drawing reviews with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering design packages.
• Associates degree or certificate from a drafting program preferred (will consider experience in lieu of education).
• REVIT education or experience is required; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete design and documentation package for mechanical deliverables under supervision.
• Produce deliverables as required by project size, either as individual contributor or team member.
• Create mechanical deliverables including general arrangements and bulk material handling equipment.
