Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Energy and Resources team in Western Canada, with flexibility for other locations in Canada.

You will develop and coordinate 3D models and 2D drawings for mining facilities, lead design reviews, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with engineers and project managers on large and small projects. You will work with BIM360, Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, REVIT, Plant 3D and Navisworks, contributing to integrated

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering design packages.
• Associates degree or certificate from an accredited drafting program preferred (experience may substitute).
• REVIT education or experience is required; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete design and documentation for mechanical deliverables under supervision.
• Produce deliverables as needed as an individual or part of a team.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for mining facilities and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineers and designers to meet project requirements.
• Lead model and drawing reviews with internal and client teams.
• Mentor Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Designers and guide project work.
