Job summary

Advanced Microsystems Technologies (AMT), a technology division of Sanmina, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support product development of optical and microelectronic components. You will contribute to mechanical design and thermal/structural FEA for diverse subsystems within a global end-to-end development team.

You will collaborate with manufacturing to develop tooling, verify designs, and support NPI activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
5+ years in a product development role with mechanical design and FEA.
Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks and FEA using Ansys.
Familiarity with optical and microelectronic technologies is an asset.
Strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical design solutions to meet specifications for optical and microelectronic components and subsystems.
Perform finite element analysis to assess thermal and structural performance and conduct tolerance analysis.
Define and execute project plans to meet deliverables.
Develop tooling in collaboration with process/manufacturing teams for production and testing.
Ensure alignment of designs and tooling with process and test capabilities.
Conduct mechanical design verification activities to meet design intent.
Support NPI and product development during manufacturing introduction.
