Job summary

Sanmina's Advanced Microsystems Technologies (AMT) seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and high-level FEA across opto/microelectronic packages and sub-systems. You will contribute to end-to-end product development from concept through manufacturing, applying strong design and thermal/structural analysis skills.

The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, with focus on RF, optical and automotive sensing components as part of AMT's expanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 8+ years in product development with mechanical design and FEA.
• AutoCAD/SolidWorks design and FEA with Ansys.
• RF/Microwave/Optical package design/analysis experience.
• End-to-end product development with manufacturing implementation.
• DFM and FMEA would be an asset.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute mechanical design solutions to meet specifications (telecom, sensing, medical, etc).
• Perform finite element analysis for thermal and structural performance.
• Interpret mechanical standards and MSAs and design compliant components.
• Conduct tolerance analysis for manufacturability and performance.
• Design microelectronic packages/modules integrating optical, electrical, RF components; thermomechanical elements.
• Support project planning and coordination within the team.
• Collaborate with process and test engineering to ensure alignment with capabilities.
