AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior Materials/Welding Engineer to join the Materials, Welding, and Chemistry - Engineering Excellence team in Canada. You will lead metallurgical and welding activities across manufacturing, refurbishment, and inspections in regulated environments, with a strong emphasis on nuclear projects.

You will oversee welding specs, QA documentation, and failure analyses, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients, fabricators, and testing labs to ensure safety,

Formación

• Minimum 10 years of experience in materials, metallurgical, and welding engineering.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear codes and pressure equipment standards.
• Experience evaluating inspection data and failure analyses.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead materials, metallurgical, and welding activities for manufacturing and refurbishment.
• Provide guidance on welding processes, qualifications, and repairs for nuclear components.
• Develop and approve welding specs, WPS/PQRs, and related QA documentation.
• Investigate fabrication challenges, weld quality, and metallurgical issues.
• Support major nuclear refurbishment projects and new builds.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and inspectors to meet budget, schedule, and quality goals.
