AtkinsRéalis Canada is seeking an experienced Materials/Metallurgical Engineer for our Mississauga office to contribute to nuclear projects and lifecycle management.

The role requires 5–10 years in materials engineering, metallurgy, NDE, and welding within nuclear power plant environments, with PE regulations in Ontario. The position supports refurbishment, new builds, and operations through York region and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Materials Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering
• PEO or equivalent regulator registration (P.Eng.) in Ontario
• 5–10 years in materials engineering, metallurgy, NDE, and welding engineering
• Experience in nuclear power plant environments

Responsibilities

• Perform materials engineering activities for nuclear projects ensuring QA, codes, standards, and regulatory compliance
• Support design, qualification, and manufacture of reactor components and related systems
• Conduct evaluations, metallurgical analyses, welding reviews, failure investigations, and degradation analyses
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with clients, suppliers, labs, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support refurbishment projects and new builds addressing materials performance and reliability
• Lead or support testing programs, process improvements, and engineering studies
